Whether you have a sealed enclosure or a big ported enclosure, the Version 2 woofers will sound great on all types of music.  Longevity and added performance come from the over built suspension and multi-layered foam surround.  The surround is double stitched to the actual cone to ensure that pressure and extended use will not separate the two.
